Our first trip was to Edisto island, South Carolina. It was Fudge's last trip. She went over the Rainbow bridge soon after we returned home from this trip. Fudge was 14 years old. We had some good times while she was with me. Pepper came to me in March, 2010. Her life was saved by a very dear friend of my sister. Pepper was terribly shy. The pound in Lumpkin County, Ga. Was about to put her down when Louise arrived and rescued her. Louise gave her to me because I knew I was about to have to let Fudge go and I was devastated.
Pepper loves me on her terms. She will get in my lap and my face if I am on the phone or lying in the bed or my recliner. If I get up she runs. When I am ready to put the leash on her I have to follow her outside into the fenced yard. She will cower as if she thinks I am going to beat her. Then she let's me put the leash on and off we go.
Pepper is half lab and half dachshund. We think she was a puppy mill puppy by her temperament and her hard to train habits. Pepper was 4 months old when I got her. She was born in mid December 2010. She will be two this march. She is my love and will be going on many trips with me in the future.
